    Group Description

Royal promise rings for couples styles are some of the best-known (and most popularly imitated). Every royal engagement brings hearts to flutter, and the latest style with three stones is no exception. We have selected some of our favorite rings from the royal collection and show you exactly how to create this look.

Three stone silhouette couples matching jewelry

The new royal 3 stone couple necklaces comes with a Cushion-cut center stone and 2 Round-cut side stones. While the traditional style features three Round cut gemstones, we like how this design combines the silhouette with a less common cut.

Kate, the duchess of Cambridge, is wearing the ring which was worn first by Princess Diana. The Oval sapphire centre stone, surrounded by an halo of stars, has become the classic engagement style. But it can be customized by choosing different shapes or styles.

Grace Kelly’s ring, which she wore when she married Prince Charles became an instant classic. It is popular to this day because it has a timeless and elegant design. Change the shape of the center stone to customize this style.

The Queen of England’s ring is a combination of a center stone and a cluster on either side. She received the elegant ring in 1945 and has worn since. The Queen’s marriage band is made with Welsh gold.

What is Carat? Guide to understanding diamond Carats

Do diamonds make the perfect gift for a woman? Or are there diamonds that surpass all others in quality and beauty? We will discuss the diamond carat, and which diamond carat is best. Learn how to choose the right-carat diamond and what you should look for when purchasing a diamond ring, or any other fine jewelry.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re looking at a real diamond, a lab-grown one, or a simulant. The carat will determine the overall value. What exactly is a “carat”, why does it matter and what is the ideal carat for a diamond?

    What is Carat

Carats are a measure of weight, and not size. A single carat is equivalent to 200 milligrams. One carat is 200mg. A two-carat diamond 400mg. The carat can however be broken down into 100 smaller points, so gemologists can accurately grade the diamond. Carats of diamonds are often given as decimals. A 1.73-carat is more similar in size and mass to a 2.75-carat than a one-carat.

Also, the diamond’s carat size is a good indicator of its quality. It is part of the 4 Cs – the four distinct characteristics used to evaluate diamonds.

    Carat Weight & Prices

What’s the difference between a two-carat and three-carat diamond in terms of price? Diamonds are highly valuable. The more carats, the greater the value. The value of diamonds increases with their carat weight as the supply is much smaller for larger diamonds. Raw diamonds, which are then cut into perfectly shaped diamonds for fine jewelry and diamond rings, are created from unpolished raw diamond stones. These diamond stones have been formed below the earth surface for hundreds, or perhaps thousands, of years. Larger carats of diamonds are produced from larger, raw diamonds which are rarer.

It’s not hard to believe that a carat-weighted diamond will go up in value proportionally. If a one-carat gemstone costs $2000 a 2-carat gem would cost $4000 a 3 carat diamond $8000 etc. This is not necessarily the case. As the carat weigh increases, so too does rarity. This causes prices to rise rapidly.

As an example, a 1-carat may cost anywhere between $2000 and $20,000; a 2-carat could cost between $8,000 and $50k, while a 3-carat would cost between $30k and $150k. The diamond price is mostly determined by diamond size and diamond weight. It also depends on the quality of your cut, diamond clarity and diamond clarity. The price of a diamond can also vary depending on whether it is a naturally grown diamond purchased from a jewelry store or one that sells lab-grown stones.
